i wish we had known each other as children
frequent disputes over toys
built sandcastles together
happy birthday parties
joys of Christmas and Easter
i wish we had known each other in school
shared the trials of a first love
love surging into life at a confusing hectic pace
heartaches therein
exploring the world of knowledge
exploring the world of experience
and yet, as i now hold you 
gaze into your eyes
feel the hunger in my lips for yours
the only wish i have
is for this to be our eternity
