your eyes make me understand

why the planets orbit the sun

they possess a gravity

that pulls at the hems of my soul

i am enamored at times

as i hold you and we dance

to such a point the world disappears

there is only you

as we swirl i am but yet another celestial body

caught up in the dance of galaxies

lost in a heavenly whirl

the gravity in your eyes holds me

no other existence can tempt me

to leave this gaze

i have seen your soul

i long for the eternity therein
